I have been kitting tiny clothes for the dolls house for years, from my own pattern designs. I love doing them and it is something to pick up when watching tv. Selling the patterns and kits to make them has fallen off lately but I hope to start this up again (when my printer is working again, but that's another story!) I know I don't charge enough but I have lots of thin yarn on hand so in between making garments for myself and family, and blanket squares for charity, it makes a change to pick up something small. Each tiny jumper takes me about an hour and a half to make.
I've been selling the dolls house garments for some time on Etsy and they do quite well, and have recently opened a shop on Folky which is the UK version of Etsy.
My shop name on both is 'dollshousebits'.
Some of my patterns can be found on Ravelry and Loveknitting, where my name is 'bitstobuy'.
I have been producing miniature knitting patterns for the dolls house for years, have had patterns published in the national dolls house press, and have published three small books of patterns. I am proud that my patterns and knitted items have gone all over the world! I am hoping to resurrect my webpage at www.bitstobuy.co.uk in the not too distant future. In the meantime I keep knitting.
